Since I’m going to a movie tonight and will be home late, I decided to drive to the train station this morning. That way I don’t have to walk home late and among the predators, which is always a good thing. I was all set to arrive at the station nice and early when I realized there was a thick layer of frost on my truck. Okay, not 3K Minneapolis, Minnesota thick, but enough that I was wishing I had an ice scraper behind the seat. With a brief exception, I haven’t had to scrape ice off a vehicle since I left Visalia in 1990. Yikes! I pay outrageous rent and utilities so I don’t have to scrape ice off my car… π
In the end I ran the defroster on full for about 5 minutes, and scraped off as much as I could with the wipers and a towel, and was ready to go. I made my train just fine, and made it into work without a hitch. Next time I leave in the cold, I think it’s going to be well after sunrise.
UPDATE: I have it on good authority that it snowed in Las Vegas. Wow.
