After months and months of on and off teething, Corinne’s first tooth finally appeared yesterday. It’s a sharp little bugger, and just barely peeking through the surface of her gums. No wonder our little one has been in so much pain.
According to my grandmother, an Egyptian tradition is to make a dish called Belila, which is a sweet porridge made with pearl wheat and nuts, to celebrate that first tooth. Never one to turn down sweets, I think I’ll have to give this a try!
We have an insanely busy and exciting few days ahead, and much to blog about on Monday. In the meantime, have a happy and safe weekend.
Yea! Teeth!
