Last night, Wayne and I attended a couples communication workshop at the local hospital. The workshop was designed especially for couples with babies or a baby on the way, and I think the information was extremely valuable. It’s one thing to communicate well when it’s just two adults, but it gets significantly more important when there is a little one who counts on her exhausted parents to provide lots of love and security.
We now have a better idea of what we’ve been doing well and what we can improve upon, and that knowledge is going to help us be better parents. Toys and gadgets are great, but a loving and happy home is truly the best gift we can provide for our little one.
