I don’t have a lot of time to blog these days, so I will try to make this one quick.
On Saturday Raelene, Corinne, and I went to Wren’s 1st birthday party. It was a lot of fun, although Wren’s dad ate birthday cake with her on his lap and refused to share. Yikes! That’s hardcore, and Wren was none too happy about it.On Sunday we puttered around the house. I was supposed to play in my monthly Godlike game, but that was moved to next weekend. So other than the party, it was a very quiet weekend.
Last night the family went to Baby Brigade at the Cerrito Speakeasy Theatre in El Cerrito. We saw The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, and Raelene and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Corinne fell asleep, but then it was a long movie and it was after her bedtime. It wasn’t the greatest movie I’ve ever seen, in fact there was some story elements I thought were sort of distracting and unnecessary. But like I said, I thoroughly enjoyed and recommend the film. Unfortunately, given that Corinne is turning 1 in a few weeks, this is probably the last time we’ll be able to go to Baby Brigade. We’re going to be moving on to “Family Night”, which is probably just as much fun but also means our little girl is growing up.
This weekend is going to be busy with housework and preparations for house guests. I was going to go to Wondercon this Saturday (a friend has an extra free pass), but with the Godlike game moved to Sunday I can’t really justify goofing off both Saturday and Sunday. So it’s no to the comic book convention, which is a bummer but I’d rather be gaming. 🙂
And that’s about it! Although I guess that wasn’t that quick…
