The weather yesterday evening was gorgeous and we needed a change in scenery, so we took Corinne for a really nice walk along the water (and yes, the new pedometer works just great and is a terrific motivator). The best part is that after our walk, we decided to brave dining at a local Vietnamese restaurant that I had deemed “family-friendly” a couple weeks earlier. We were nervous because Corinne can be very unpredictable and there was no guarantee that she wouldn’t cry or fuss during the meal. Everything worked out okay. Our waitress was extremely nice and helpful, and Corinne entertained herself by staring at the ceiling fan and watching the little boy at a nearby table.
So yeah, going out to eat may not be a big deal, but when you have a little human who operates on a completely different schedule, it requires a lot more effort and flexibility. And don’t even get me started on how much extra stuff you have to schlep around!
