Happy Chinese New Year! Welcome to the Year of the Ox!
We had sort of a mixed bay weekend. I had to cancel my Exalted game at the Endgame minicon due to the illnesses in the family. 🙁 I’ve been looking forward to that game for a couple of months now, so cancelling it was painful but the right thing to do. Family comes first, always.
On the plus side, because I was home I got to see Corinne take her first step. Singular. And I should probably write it as “step” because it was as much a controlled fall as an actual step (which is a controlled fall, btw, only more controlled). Anyway, Corinne took a single step to get from Mommy to me without having to drop to the flooor. Yea! On Sunday she took two “steps” to get from me to the couch. She’s still a ways yet from walking, but her balance is getting better and she’s now showing a willingness to let go of support so that she can get where she wants to be.
Saturday night I made a big batch of vegan andouille sausage and vegan pepperoni. The andouille turned out better than the pepperoni, but both were good. Hopefully I will have time to make more “wheat meat” here soon, because it’s pretty darn fun. 🙂
