Wow, what a week that was!
Last weekend my parents were visiting my sister in Santa Cruz, so Raelene, Corinne, and I dropped in on Saturday for a short visit as well. It was a lot of fun, but unfortunately I got really, really sick. I’m not sure what it was, possibly something related to the diabetes and possibly not. All I know is I was in really bad shape until Tuesday afternoon/evening.
On Wednesday I went to the Amazon Web Services Startup Event in San Francisco. It was interesting, but unfortunately not that useful for me. I was interesting to see what other people are doing with Amazon’s EC2 and S3 services, however. It also made me realize how close to the forefront of technology I am as I work in the cloud computing environment.
Thursday, it was hot. Really hot. In fact, it’s been hot and miserable all week.
And today is Friday. TGIF! Thank goodness for the weekend, because it means we can do all the things we were going to do last weekend but couldn’t because I was incapacitated. Well, except for tomorrow (Saturday) late morning/early afternoon. I am going to be running a Trail of Cthulhu game at Endgame while Raelene gets a massage. Yea!
