This past weekend Raelene and I interviewed and hired a birth doula to help us through the delivery of our daughter. Yea! It was a bit late to start the interviewing process, yes, but better late than never. The doula we hired is very nice, seems to be a good fit with the two of us, and should bring a lot of positive, female energy into the birthing room. The dog even took an instant liking to her. So between the wonderful nursing staff at Alta Bates and our doula, I think we’re in really good hands.
Speaking of births, Raelene is now considered “full term”. Yea! That baby isn’t due for another 3 weeks, but we’re now in the home stretch. I can’t wait!
