It’s Friday! Yea!

Whoo hoo! It’s Friday.

There isn’t a whole lot to report right now. The big news was at 4:42AM a 4.2 magnitude earthquake occurred 2 miles northeast of Oakland. I slept through the quake itself, but it woke Raelene and scared the parrots. Raelene has the day off, so she stayed up to calm the birds down while I went back to bed. The mayor of SF was on the radio this morning, and he suggested people check out www.72hours.org. It’s website sponsored by the city of San Francisco to help people prepare for “the big one” beyond simply having bottled water in the house. It looks like all Californians could benefit from it going through it.

On Saturday Raelene and I are driving down to Santa Cruz to see my sister and folks. I haven’t seen my parents since the holidays or my sister much at all the past few years, so I’m really looking forward to it. It should be a fun day. It’s only for the day unfortunately, but a day is better than nothing. Sunday is going to be quiet for us, just housework and time with the animals.

And that’s about it. Happy Friday!
