Another Monday Morning

Well, our weekend went off without a hitch. Monday evening Raelene and I passed out fliers in Ferry Park in support of the ban on feeding the wild parrots. The ban goes into effect today, and hopefully the police will enforce it. It was really sad to see how horrible the core group of feeders are. They care nothing about the birds, they are simply after the attention people give them when they feed the birds. These are the type of people who would sacrifice every last bird to passing cars, taxicabs, and the brain parasite in order to feel “famous.” It is sad, because a dozen or so people are actively trying to destroy something that is a San Francisco treasure.

On Saturday I went to the minicon at Endgame. I played in some fantastic games, met some wonderful people, and had a great time. Unfortunately though, it is the last minicon I’m going to be able to attend for a while. Being gone from 9AM until after Midnight is just too difficult, it’s unfair to Raelene and the animals, and leaves me with too much to be done on Sunday. But that’s okay, it’s all part of growing up I guess. ~smiles~

On Sunday we went to the Post Punk Kitchen east-bay picnic. That was a lot of fun. There was some great food, great people, and I got to try vegan donuts. I wasn’t too sure how I would feel about a vegan whole wheat chocolate donut, but it was pretty good. I imagine they would be fantastic warm. There is talk about doing it monthly, but that might be too much. We’ll see though.

And that was about it… which is good, because that was a lot. ~smiles~
